This is the story of our family: Our son Jacob, born to us 12 years ago, and Our daughter Kira (2005~2006), whom was born to us~ and now she rests in heaven before us, with my husband's eldest daughter Shelby (1990~2011). They have all three blessed our lives and souls, in many ways as their humbled parents. They have powerfully lead us through GOD'S hand to be parents of more; through their love, memory, and with the help of adoption from China. We have now come complete circle and have finished our journey to family forever, to adopt our 3...uhhhhh now 4th...no... it is our 5th beloved child from China. Our first China daughter; Hannah was from Guangdong, China ~ in 2008 and we then returned to China in late 2009 to adopt Our oldest son; Scott and Our oldest daughter; Athena, both from Henan, China ~ in 2009. We just finished the process of adopting our youngest daughter; Bella from China, she was also from Henan, China ~ in 2011. At the same time we were blessed to be able to have found another waiting daughter; Deanna, our 4th china daughter, and she is our 5th child from China. She is from Guangdong, China--same as our first China daughter; Hannah (2008) --& the story behind Deanna joining us is way too long to print it all here, but our circle of forever family is complete with her ~in 2011. {Here is just an exerpt of that special final adoption journey}-- Deanna is our 1st adopted daughter's foster sister from Guangdong, China. She is now the same age as our 1st adopted daughter was when we were first united as a forever family. Deanna's Chinese name means: 'perfect, precious circle'.} Our family circle is now complete. Pray with us as we enjoy parenthood, and as we continue to rejoice in the trials, triumphs, and blessings that have lead us each time halfway around the world to add to our cherished family. This is our family we share with you, as friends and family alike.

Officially Waiting For Approval...

Our agency said they have mailed all our info to the NBC (National Benefits Center) "the new USCIS" {United States Customs and Immigration Service} and we are officially awaiting our I-797C.
This form, the I-797C is the last document needed for us to be approved for International Adoption. It comes as result of the extensive background checks, fingerprints, and total invasion of who we are as citizens and parents. Our agency estimates from today it will be 12 weeks. "Please let it be sooner!"
Our Dossier {the word I taught you on an earlier post} is complete and at our agency just waiting for the I-797C, before it can be sent to China. China in fact, has no idea that we are here in the USA waiting & wanting to adopt until they receive our Dossier.
I put a blog ticker {a counter of sorts} on our adoption blog site (that is this "thing" you are reading now) ;o) ...Now, let's see how long USCIS (NBC) takes. It used to be long, real long in fact with the "New April 2008 Hague Laws" in effect. {Google this; it is too long to explain all the rules and laws of keeping children safe throughout the international adoption process} ....
Anyway, I have heard recently of a family who was approved in 25 days after fingerprints and a wild 10 day approval after fingerprints for someone else. Come on NBC, we want to go to China!
Update: The NBC cashed our check on 2/25/09 and on 3/9/09 we received our receipt in the mail. Still no fingerprint invitation...Ugh! today 3/13, we received an appointment to fingerprint at the end of March!! whoohoo! Fingerprinted on 3/28/09, a day later than the appointment was originally scheduled due to a "Spring Blizzard" in our area {but that is another post...LOL}.

7 month Anniversary


Seven up!, Forever to go!!!
It has been seven months with Hannah and it feels like she has always been here with us. Her English is unmeasurable...(off the charts GOOD!)
I remember when strangers would say "hi", or comment on how pretty her dress was, or ask her "how old are you?"...
I would have to stop and say, "Oh, she speaks Chinese." Now, I just step back and let her do "ALL" the talking. She is a "HAM". (just like daddy and Jacob) :o) She knows her stuff... no lack of self confidence or lack of luster in this little girl.

We love you Hannah!
