Red Thread Journey..."An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." Chinese Proverb

This is the story of our family: Our son Jacob, born to us 12 years ago, and Our daughter Kira (2005~2006), whom was born to us~ and now she rests in heaven before us, with my husband's eldest daughter Shelby (1990~2011). They have all three blessed our lives and souls, in many ways as their humbled parents. They have powerfully lead us through GOD'S hand to be parents of more; through their love, memory, and with the help of adoption from China. We have now come complete circle and have finished our journey to family forever, to adopt our 3...uhhhhh now 4th...no... it is our 5th beloved child from China. Our first China daughter; Hannah was from Guangdong, China ~ in 2008 and we then returned to China in late 2009 to adopt Our oldest son; Scott and Our oldest daughter; Athena, both from Henan, China ~ in 2009. We just finished the process of adopting our youngest daughter; Bella from China, she was also from Henan, China ~ in 2011. At the same time we were blessed to be able to have found another waiting daughter; Deanna, our 4th china daughter, and she is our 5th child from China. She is from Guangdong, China--same as our first China daughter; Hannah (2008) --& the story behind Deanna joining us is way too long to print it all here, but our circle of forever family is complete with her ~in 2011. {Here is just an exerpt of that special final adoption journey}-- Deanna is our 1st adopted daughter's foster sister from Guangdong, China. She is now the same age as our 1st adopted daughter was when we were first united as a forever family. Deanna's Chinese name means: 'perfect, precious circle'.} Our family circle is now complete. Pray with us as we enjoy parenthood, and as we continue to rejoice in the trials, triumphs, and blessings that have lead us each time halfway around the world to add to our cherished family. This is our family we share with you, as friends and family alike.

Water babies

It's almost hard to believe that Scott and Athena only discovered swimming just 6 months ago.
They are both relaxed enough in the water to learn quickly.
Jacob and Hannah are both doing well in their class too.
Well... Hannah is doing better then last year...LOL.
Everyone is having a good time, that's what's important.

Chinese New Year!

It's the Year of the Tiger (Scott's year).
We traveled to Denver to watch the Chinese New Year festival. But first we 'had to' eat at John Holly's Asian Bistro. It was very good, but it was also a lot of food for the kids (whom have been starving for Chinese food), so we were a little late to the festival.

Daddy "no like" Chinese food... not even rice.
We missed the opening, and had to sit in the back.
Scott was upset that the menu at John Holly's was not printed in Chinese. He said "What kind of Chinese place not have menu in Chinese?, this not real Chinese!" He sure did scarf down that "not real Chinese food" like it was his last supper.

New Year's Resolve

"It took me a while ~
as you can see;
to find how to explain my New Year's Resolve to thee...
I am one of those people that like - Fresh Starts, New Beginnings, A Clean Slate,
A Better Tomorrow, An Optimistic Outlook"...
"Even if;
it is only a number on a 'Calendar Page'...
day one, of month one, and so we proceed".
~
As a wife, a mom , a sister, a friend, a daughter, a child of God, I did resolve to go forward; and Better Me, For You.
~
I have 5 solid resolutions... that I told to 5 friends...
(Awwh Yes, I do have 5 friends...one or two may in fact be family...LOL)
~
"I did not want to post the list here on the blog"... {I left them in the pink journal, for Me!}
Why? ...you ask
"Well to not bore you"... And you thought ~ So I would not have to answer back in 365 days.
~
"For the days my resolve weakens; I have this thought to keep me going to start anew".

Early 20th-century New Year's resolution postcards
~
..."and if by chance, I catch you lurking over my shoulder :o) as the days, and weeks, and months press on; maybe we should both Stop!, And Ask Ourselves"...

1. Who was I nice to?
2. What did I learn today?
3. When did I give?
4. How was I better today than yesterday?
5. Why am I thankful?
