Meeting Scott's Kaifeng Foster Sister: Kimberly Dang Wei

Kimberly lives just down the road from us, how exciting.... 1/2 way around the world and now neighbors.

Memorial Weekend: family bbq (MAY 4th) putt putt (MAY 28)

We had a fantastic surprise visit of relatives dropping by on May 4th. We love them so much. They called the instant they hit town and we were off on a whirlwind of adventure... dropped everything: including people left work, left the blood-work lab and the movies, and went to their hotel. We met for happy hour(s); chatted, connected, had lots of Pepsi and lots of food. The next day was a BBQ at my house... we had to buy a new grill ... the other one had bit the dust a few weeks before.  We intended to buy one for Father's Day~but heck we got it a bit early.

We also stopped by the area Putt-Putt over the weekend to kick off summer, the 4 newest had never been!!! 3 holes-in-one, fun times.

Mayana

This was a special visit for Hannah. Mayana was Hannah's foster sister in China.

Extra "thank you" to Mayana's family for coming all the way to Colorado just so they could see each other.

Athena's Day Off

First stop on her "Day Off", a trip to the Immigration office. Even though Athena was a U.S. Citizen when she stepped off the plane in San Fransisco, she had to retake the Oath, and resign her affirmation, to have them "hand over" her US Citizenship Document.

The next stop was a visit to CCAI, the starting place for her paperwork;

(in someways her birthplace) to come to her family.
Thanks to a letter from Lily, we made it to China in time to adopt Athena.
The waiting child department was happy to see Athena, a lot of hard work came from these people, in just a short period of time.

Athena had a "Great Day Off"!

Vacation: Day 5 (A reunion of foster sisters, One year in the making)
