Red Thread Journey..."An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." Chinese Proverb

This is the story of our family: Our son Jacob, born to us 12 years ago, and Our daughter Kira (2005~2006), whom was born to us~ and now she rests in heaven before us, with my husband's eldest daughter Shelby (1990~2011). They have all three blessed our lives and souls, in many ways as their humbled parents. They have powerfully lead us through GOD'S hand to be parents of more; through their love, memory, and with the help of adoption from China. We have now come complete circle and have finished our journey to family forever, to adopt our 3...uhhhhh now 4th...no... it is our 5th beloved child from China. Our first China daughter; Hannah was from Guangdong, China ~ in 2008 and we then returned to China in late 2009 to adopt Our oldest son; Scott and Our oldest daughter; Athena, both from Henan, China ~ in 2009. We just finished the process of adopting our youngest daughter; Bella from China, she was also from Henan, China ~ in 2011. At the same time we were blessed to be able to have found another waiting daughter; Deanna, our 4th china daughter, and she is our 5th child from China. She is from Guangdong, China--same as our first China daughter; Hannah (2008) --& the story behind Deanna joining us is way too long to print it all here, but our circle of forever family is complete with her ~in 2011. {Here is just an exerpt of that special final adoption journey}-- Deanna is our 1st adopted daughter's foster sister from Guangdong, China. She is now the same age as our 1st adopted daughter was when we were first united as a forever family. Deanna's Chinese name means: 'perfect, precious circle'.} Our family circle is now complete. Pray with us as we enjoy parenthood, and as we continue to rejoice in the trials, triumphs, and blessings that have lead us each time halfway around the world to add to our cherished family. This is our family we share with you, as friends and family alike.

sisters...forever!

These are some photos from 2008 from "our Personal stash" of photos that Hannah came 'home' with during the adoption process of herself in 2008.
These photos are of Hannah age 7 (back in 2008), and her sister Deanna age 4.5 (2008)... these are the girls ("our girls") in China-- Priceless. Hannah is in the stripped pink and white shirt, Deanna is in the yellow and red sleeved shirt. The girls are passing out the candy we had sent in a care package to Hannah and her foster family at the orphanage--2008.This is Deanna front and center in her new red and gray winter coat; she is about age 3.

Two more, Care Packages

We sent two more packages and two more letters to our two children waiting in Henan. PJ's and blankets, candy, camera and a small toy. We used Ann Service in China again, we love her. :o) She resides in Hannah's Province of Guangdong. Ann at http://redthreadchina.com/ will translate our letters, and get back to us with the personalized pictures of our packages being sent. I love Tigger and Eeyore!, but, the "cRaZy cOw" Pj's... are good for a laugh. :o) I bet Scott, "misplaces those". LOL!Athena, has Mickey and Minnie Mouse "in love" Pj's! awhh.

We are about 3 weeks or less away from traveling to China to adopt our "babies" ;o).

Care Packages

We are sending care packages to our two newest children in China, waiting in Henan for us. We hope to travel in a few short weeks to bring them home. In the mean time we want to get to know them, and them us...

We are working with Ann, she lives in Guangdong, China where Hannah was from. We use http://redthreadchina.com/ to connect, it makes it much easier to use her service/store through her website to send the care packages. The packages will get there faster and safer with her tremendous service. Ann will translate our letters we wrote to each child, and put our family pictures into a pretty album to delivery to them. We sent our son and daughter a set of clothes, candy ;o) and a camera too, so they could take pictures of their friends and nannies before we come.

Update 07.27.09: We received a couple new pictures of Scott, and his new measurements from his SWI, through Ann.

Update 07.28.09: We did receive Athena's new measurements and 3 pictures.

(please do not cross post our news, I would love to just keep it here: amongst us in the "family".)

Good News, Not our LOA {Letter of Acceptance} that we are waiting patiently for..but

We sent Hannah a Birthday Party Care Package, through Ann at RedThread in China. We found out that Hannah received her cake and the SWI {Social Welfare Institute, aka Orphanage} agreed that they would take pictures at the party for us and... they also said "yes, Hannah can have a TUTOR!"{ it will be simple English, the SWI said I can pay them for the Tutor, when "I come for her"}.. That's great news!! They know I am coming!!... now just get those acceptance and travel documents over here. LOL :o)
